What inspired Corinnes Cozy Critters?
Ever since I was a little girl, I've dreamed of owning my own business and doing something creative. However, it wasn't until last year that I discovered my true passion for sewing.
Just before Christmas, I was unexpectedly laid off from my job. It was a difficult time, especially because gift-giving has always been one of my favorite ways to show love and appreciation to the people around me. I was determined to make the Holidays special anyways, I picked up a needle and thread, taught myself the blanket stitch, and set out to create handmade felt gifts for my family and friends.
What started as a way to make Christmas memorable quickly became something much more. I found so much joy in creating each piece and even more joy in seeing the smiles and reactions from my loved ones receiving them.
Since then, my passion for sewing has continued to grow. I've learned new techniques, developed new skills, and filled countless notebooks with ideas and designs. Corinnes Cozy Critters is a place where I can share my handmade creations, creativity, and love for whimsical, cozy treasures with others. I am so excited to continue to grow, create, and share my work with the world. -`♡´-
Corinnes Cozy Critters goals and motivation
My goal is to inspire others to sew, create, and embrace their innermost whimsy! ⋆˚꩜
Sewing is more than just a hobby for me, sewing is a form of therapy. When I sew my mind is quiet for once, the weight is lifted off of my shoulders, and I feel like I am exactly where I need to be. I want others to feel what I feel when I sew - peace, comfort and joy.
One of my biggest inspirations is my mother. She introduced me to fiber arts and encouraged my creativity from the very beginning. I may have never discovered my love for creating felt critters if it weren't for the big pack of felt she shared with me! Her support, encouragement, and creativity helped spark the passion that eventually grew into this business. ᰔᩚ
